LifestyleThe lunch break worth putting in your calendar.
By Andrea Hills
One surface. A few decisions. A clearer place to start.

Choose a small area you use every day: a desk, a bedside table or the place where you drop your keys. Put aside a few minutes to return things to where they belong and remove what is no longer useful.
Keep the objects that support the way you actually use the space. A clear surface is not the only goal; a useful one may hold a book, a lamp and the notes you need tomorrow.
Stop when the allotted time is over. A small finished task can be more satisfying than an entire room left halfway through an ambitious reorganisation.
